Riding an e-bike in the Mercury Bay area is a fantastic way to explore the region's stunning coastline and charming towns. It offers a unique combination of scenic beauty and active adventure, with the added benefit of an electric assist to help you conquer hills and cover more ground. E-bikes are an ideal way to link up the major attractions in the area, such as natural hot springs, wineries, museum, art galleries, farmers markets and plenty of local cuisine.
-
The electric assist makes these rides easy to moderate. While the terrain is often described as "rolling" with some hills and undulations, the e-bike's motor significantly reduces the physical effort required. This means you can easily cruise along and enjoy the scenery without getting exhausted, making it accessible to riders of all fitness levels. These pedal-assisted bikes take the sting out of any hill and guarantees you to have an awesome riding experience!

The recommended height for our bikes is 155 - 188cm or 5.1 - 6.2 ft which is a guideline by NCM, shorter and taller people can still ride them but they won’t be as comfortable. This is because e-bikes are heavier and bulkier than standard bikes, and riders need to be tall enough to safely handle the bike and reach the ground with their feet.
Parental Consent is required for riders under 18, a parent or legal guardian are required to sign a liability waiver, accepting full responsibility of their loved ones.
There is no age restrictions so long as you are taller than 155cm - the minimum height requirement, have parental consent and have signed a liability waiver.
The maximum weight restriction is 135kg of added weight to the bike.
-
At this stage the only option is if your child is if they are taller than 155cm - the minimum height requirement and have parental consent.
